What to Expect During Your Columbus Ohio Maternity Session
Maternity sessions are some of my favorite sessions because I get time with the mama-to-be! As a maternity photographer in Columbus Ohio, I love being able to spoil mama and make sure she is treated like a queen. Throughout your session, you will be loved on, and celebrated for the amazing journey you are on, and we’ll talk about all things baby!
But first, let’s talk about what a maternity session in my studio will look like. When planning your Columbus Ohio maternity session, I want you to feel stress free and at ease. I have a maternity wardrobe that you are more than welcome to use, and makeup on site to help help you glam up!
Maternity Wardrobe
Let’s talk about the maternity wardrobe! Like I said earlier, I strive to make your session as seamless and stress free for you as possible. Enter, the wardrobe! Over my years in the business I have curated and collected beautiful dresses, and accessories for your dream session. Whether you’re looking for a more flowy gown, or something form fitting, my wardrobe has you covered.
If you decide to use pieces from the wardrobe, all I ask is that you come prepared with black and nude bra and panties! This will help keep things looking seamless and not have any unnecessary lines showing. A Nude Adhesive Strapless Backless Bra works best with all of our wardrobe options.
Don’t worry, I’ve got all the links below for my favorite places to purchase them for under $20! They are great and can be used again and again. It is not a must, but ideal.
Hair & Makeup Glam
Looking for the full pampering? Ask to upgrade and have our professional stylist pamper you with full hair and makeup before your session in studio! Just arrive to the studio with a clean, moisturized face and clean dry hair before your Columbus Ohio maternity session! Bring your coffee, or a smoothie and relax while the magic happens, it can take anywhere between 60-90 minutes to complete your glam so make sure you arrive early!
If you decide you want to have glam brought to you in your own home, let us know! We can arrange for our stylist to bring the magic to you and get you camera ready from the comfort of your home. What’s better than having your hair and makeup done for you? Having it done at home, with access to all your favorite snacks and shows!
Including Littles?
If you decide to bring your other children with you to the session, we can’t wait to include them! Bring them along, and we’ll be sure to get them in some photos to create incredible memories before baby arrives. If you are having glam done at our studio, let the littles stay home with your spouse or partner until glam is complete! This helps mama remain relaxed and excited, while the little ones don’t lose interest and get cranky!
Also, consider bringing special treats or toys that they love so we can easily bribe and reward If necessary. Especially for toddler age children. Your children are welcome to use our children’s wardrobe, just let us know what their size is ahead of time so we can pull options for you! Not only will mama be pampered, but your kids will also be taken care of!

Last but not least, enjoy yourself! Your Columbus Ohio maternity session is supposed to be fun, and make you feel beautiful while capturing an incredibly special moment in time.
