Michael | Baby Photography Columbus Ohio

Michael’s Columbus Ohio newborn session was a little bit different, because he was born 3 months premature! Mom had originally booked a maternity session with me, but Michael had different plans. He was born long before it was time for our session. As a baby photographer in Columbus Ohio I’m blessed to work with some beautiful and incredible babes, and Michael and his story were no different.

He spent 3 months in the NICU fighting and was finally able to go home with his sweet mama in September. During most of my newborn sessions the babies are sleepy, and we’re able to pose them and take all the cute sleeping pictures, but sweet Michael was awake! He was wide awake when he got to my Ohio studio, we did everything we could to keep him asleep, but being out of the womb for so long he just was not super sleepy. He was ready to see everything, and check it all out!

I loved how alert and awake he was because he has the biggest brown eyes and had the cutest expressions. Mama brought some of her own props that made the baby photography session that much more unique and special. My favorite of his little outfits was the boxing outfit. His mom said he fought so hard to make it and to get home, she wanted to capture his little fighter spirit in the photos.

All the pictures of mama and him melted my mama heart, and I just loved every minute of it. It was such an honor to capture this little guy and document his fighting spirit and all of those adorable expressions!
