Some of you may have noticed that Gable Photography has slowly been changing. This year has marked our 10th year in business, and while the journey has been amazing, it was time for a change. So allow me to introduce Wildflower Fine Art Portraits.
Wildflower has been a work in progress for the past year. It’s been insanely scary, stressful and exciting at the same time. When I started this business 10 years ago, using my then last name, it was as a side gig. I was a graphic designer who took portraits on the side, and never even imagined I’d own a full-service studio and have nearly 1000 clients.
10 Years as Gable Photography
In the last decade I moved across the country, got married, started a business, had two beautiful daughters, opened a commercial studio space and have transformed my business from a shoot-and-burn, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants company to a full-service, fine art studio. So it seemed fitting that as I enter a new era, a new studio has bloomed.
I’ve been wanting to change the company name to something that identified less with me or my name, and more with something that signifies unique beauty and an experience that is one-of-a-kind. In an age where technology has given us the tools to photograph every aspect of our lives, I want our portrait experience to be different. More than just taking a photo. An experience from start to finish that you will remember in addtion to creating beautiful portraits that will be cherished for decades.
With our new name we have also made other changes. Some of you have already seen the studio’s makeover as well as the additional services we now offer such as in-home consultations. Stay tuned the next few weeks for more info and samples of our new sessions and experiences. We are also in the process of celebrating this milestone with a really fun giveaway.
Before I sign off I want to sincerely thank all of the clients who have trusted me to capture your beautiful families this past decade. There are no words to express my gratitude and absolute appreciation for your support and your business. I’ve watched so many of your familes grow and it is truly what keeps me going. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
